Taking inspiration from some images I had found, I took what was essentially a cool looking 3D scene that didn't fit in my demo reel anywhere and turned it into a full project. The result is this title sequence for the Akira Kurosawa film "Throne of Blood".

Taking inspiration from the movie itself, along with some creative liberties, I put together the sequence using a variety of techniques; 3D modeling, long shadow effects, distortion mapping, puppeting, and rotoscoping. My goal was to maintain the feel of the original movie and credits, but with new design techniques and elements. Some noise reduction and SFX of the movie soundtrack was added in to polish it off. Built with Cinema 4D, Arnold Render, and Adobe After Effects.
